Joint Health is Wealth

Your shoulders, hips, elbows and knees are vital to the easy movement and mellow aging of your body, and should be treated with love and care from an early age. Now, just because joint pain is a common complaint, does not mean that it is ‘natural’… it is caused by a number of factors including a diet rich in inflammatory foods like sweets, wheats and fast foods.

Inflammation of the joints is a leading cause of pain and discomfort in this modern world. If left unchecked, it will result in chronic conditions like osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. RA is the most debilitating type of arthritis and its damage is not limited to just joints; but can spread throughout the entire system. Unfortunately, there is still no cure for Arthritis.

Symptoms are managed according to the degree of their severity with traditional oral or intravenous medications. While these medications do reduce symptoms and help to control the disease, they come with a lot of side effects that cause even more imbalances throughout the body after prolonged use.
So while one fire is being put out, several others are actually starting up in other areas.

For these reasons taking care of your joint health is imperative… so lets start where we should all start: by taking care of our health BEFORE damage can set in, and settle.

Turmeric is not only one of the most effective herbs for reducing inflammation and pain; it accomplishes this task with virtually no side effects! Equipping your immune system with Turmeric is like calling in the Fire Chief and the entire team of Firefighters to get your burning pain under control and closer to being extinguished!

Many scientific studies have successfully proven the incredibly healing effects that Turmeric and its anti-inflammatory ingredient Curcumin have on the pain and inflammation caused by Arthritis. The results from some of these studies show that:

Bioflavable forms of Curcumin had a greater effect in reducing pain and inflammation in the joints of R.A. patients than traditional medications did. There was a greater decrease in the amount of destruction to affected joints in those taking Curcumin, than there was for those who were taking prescription medications. Patients taking Curcumin instead of Ibuprofen for knee pain due to Osteoarthritis reported a larger decrease in pain walking long distances or up and down stairs, compared to those that took Ibuprofen. There was less residual damage in other areas of the body and organs for those patients that took Curcumin than there was for those taking Ibuprofen, in Osteoarthritis patients.

Even before we had access to scientific evidence proving the firefighting properties of Turmeric, we knew just from history and stories, that some cultures have been using Turmeric successfully for thousands of years to treat any manner of health issues...long before these diseases had names or had been studied formally.

Natural Vitamin D* (From Mushroom)

Mushrooms are the only vegetarian food that offer Vitamin D, notably maitake, morel, chanterelle, oyster, and shiitake mushrooms generate vitamin D when they are exposed to sunlight. This happens in a similar way to how your skin synthesizes it when you let the shine on your body, So natural, and so healthy for you!

We do have to note that commercially cultivated mushrooms are generally grown indoors, so they do not offer any treasures of vitamin D – but the wild mushrooms like the ones mentioned above, take the sun from the sky and puts it right into your body.

White Willow Bark

Willow bark comes from the willow tree and boasts a compound called salicin, which is similar to Aspirin. It has been praised for its wonderful pain-relieving properties for centuries already. Many cultures have used this to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever, and it is a staple of both traditional Chinese medicine as well as Ayurvedic healing.

Willow bark has been touted to safely treat a host of pain disorders, including headaches and pains in the joints – it has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis by health practitioners worldwide.

Moringa Leaf

Moringa is antifungal, antiviral, and antidepresssent and has been used for centuries for these ailments. It is a brilliant assistant in lowering arthritis symptoms, with it’s powerful antiinflamatory properties.

It brings numerous medicinal properties and health benefits besides, with its many healthful compounds, including: (take a deep breath, this list is long) vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B-6, C, folate, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.

Ginger has incredible anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, thereby actively combating inflammation !

The ginger plant, Zingiber officinale, is a close relative of turmeric. In both plants, it’s the roots that are used to make the delicious organic spices that flavour our Taka teas, and enhance our joint therapy  supplements.

Ginger is a spice with long history  of healing – it plays a particularly important role in traditional Ayurvedic healing. Although ginger is recorded as being widely used in ancient India and the Far East, the spice was introduced to Europe by the Romans in the first century AD.

Black Pepper Extract

Black pepper is a commonly used spice, but it is more than just fiery and delicious. It contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, perfect for joint pains.

Black Pepper contains a chemical called piperine, that appears to have a wealth of beneficial effects. It is used for ailments such as gas, headaches, dizziness, asthma, bacterial infections, pain, and inflammation. It is also used topically, for itchy skin, measles, and scabies.

And the marvelous serendipity is that pairing black pepper with turmeric enables your body to absorb more curcumin!
